The story is fairly interesting though when all is revealed it seems a bit hokey. The main draw of this book is how well the issue of environmentalism is addressed in an easy to understand manner. Like all his books, it is evident Crichton has done lengthy research.

Considering all the laws being debated in this country based on environmental theories, it's good to understand them and the distortion offered by many groups and scientists. The novel explains how many studies are distorted and the motivation of those behind them.

Warning: As in all Crichton books, there is nonstop swearing.
