it was amazing

Coraline by Neil Gaiman is creepy and brilliant novel all wrapped in one! Gaiman uses the reader’s imagination to take them through a journey of a young, board girl’s imagination. The reader is sent to an extraordinary world on the opposite side of a door, to a world of talking rats, parents with eyes as buttons, and much more. Gainman also uses this work of fantasy in a somewhat realistic manner by creating a world that is imaginary, yet similar to the real world in the story, though keeping them distinctly separate. Suspense and supernatural are intertwined throughout the novel to keep the reader drawn into the creepy factor, and is sure to keep any reader (youth or adult) on the edge of their seats. Though this novel is probably a little to creepy for children under the age 10, but I would highly recommend it to anyone in need of a little suspense and adventure in their life!
