Derrick is a handsome, smart mouthed, romantic guy and friend. So reading about him was a blast and very much enjoyable. Though I found the book itself to be a little difficult to follow. When Derrick 'dreams' or 'wakes up' or whatever it is he's doing I felt like I was watching an episode from Dallas. I was just as pissed off about the dream sequence in that as I was in this book.

I'm not sure if any of you crochet or knit but I found the book to be much like a ball of yarn gone awry. You can see that it's all connected, but you just can't seem to get the tangle fixed.

I have quite a few books in my library (ebook and physical) that I would read again in a heart beat, I hate to say that this is not one of them. I will say that the author has a way with words and I would definitely read another book from her.
