A text of small volume, the novel was easy to finish, and as a generality, was a nice basic account of the final days of the poet Sylvia Plath. However, if you have no previous information on the poet's life this might be a difficult book to follow as the author doesn't offer any previous information to her life.
That being said, I did have the recollection of Plath's journals, so I was able to follow. Despite this, the novel took wasn't quite as...enthralling as one would expect. Not necessarily on the accounts that Plath wasn't an interesting character and her death wasn't a certain tragedy, but the narration left a bit to be desired.
