really liked it
bookshelves: audiobook

I came across this book when I was desperately searching for something to listen to from my library. I decided to listen to it because apart from some of his insanely famous songs I didn't really know much about him. I would say about 70% of the biography is about him and the rest is about his kids and his philanthropic work.
I was hoping for a light read when I picked this one and it was for the most part. But it gets pretty emotional when he talks about the humanatarian work done by his organisation. I came close to tears several times when he talked about some of the (human trafficking/ child prostitution) cases that he came across. It's put forth in a very sensitive way, not abruptly to shock the readers.
In the end, I would suggest this book for Ricky martin fans. It's not profound but does bring home some important messages.
