Ok...first, it would help to read these in the proper order so if you haven't, read Hounded first! (didn't realize when I picked up this book that it wasn't the first in the series) It isn't absolutely necessary but it would explain a few of the relationships. A fascinating combination of magic and mythology is depicted in this thrilling tale of Druid Atticus O'Sullivan (also known as Siodhachan O Suilebhain). His intriguing allies include a warhound named who Oberon has a novel take on life, two lawyers...one of whom is an actual bloodsucker and the other a werewolf, and the Morrigan (a Chooser of the Slain) among others. Atticus is not only dealing with the fallout left from changing the power structure in Tir na nOg but his life seems to be full of challenges that keep him from cleansing the contaminated land left behind. A fallen angel, frenzied Bacchants and an uneasy relationship with the local coven keep him busy but the addition of yet another coven determined to end his existence may just be the last straw! A great read, filled with plenty of action, a somewhat dangerous love-life, plenty of interesting asides and an intriguing meld of multiple pantheons.
