really liked it

Interesting and thoughtful, but far too many inferential leaps from a few small n fMRI studies to generalizations about emotional styles, brain systems, and interventions. Ultimately, self-report scales are not shown convincingly to actually replace the need for an fMRI.

Not convinced that there are only six styles or that the styles are fully emotional (as opposed to broadly psychosocial).

The last chapter was mostly fluff and much of the biographical escapes were boring. Loved the detailed descriptions of studies, but wish results were described in a more objective way.
