A girl from a screwed up family (well, let's clarify - with screwed up parents) tells her strange tales and shows us how she makes a life for herself. In these times, the stories in this book are, unfortunately, not that hard to believe, but still leave you shaking your head to hear someone tell them first-person. And to be able to tell a story like this without bitterness, is in my opinion, truly amazing.
