Apparently the most controversial work in the history. Obviously because Lawerence is not shy on explicitly detailing on sex scenes. He also explores class issue through lady Chatterlery relationship with her lover, the gamekeeper. The book did not impress me much. Mostly because the time has changed and the issues like class, sex, love and deception that had a lot of significance and controversy in a particular era is less intense now. I also could not understand as to what impression Lawrence wanted to leave the readers with - love thrives in sex or the other way round?
