DNF @ 191 pages / 6 hours of audio

I tried to pick this one up last December and wasn't feeling it, so this time I went with the audiobook. The narrator (Robin Miles) is FANTASTIC and reminded me of Bahni Turpin's narrating in Children of Blood and Bone. Sadly, that was the only thing I enjoyed about this book.

The pacing is SO. SLOW. Basically nothing happens for the first hundred and fifty pages. The world is rich, and I liked the culture; but I was bored out of my mind and I didn't care at all about the story or the characters. After my second attempt, I have to concede to the fact that this is just not a me book :(
