*Dislaimer: This was one of six books that I had to read for a class assignment.

Geraldine is an excellent book about how at times you might feel out of place and that you don't belong because of how different you are. In this book, the main character Geraldine, a Giraffe is moving with her family to a new town, which also means a new school and she isn't happy about it. Eventually, Geraldine meets Cassie, a human and instead of making their differences negatives, Geraldine and Cassie show that someone's differences can be positive. This is a great story that teaches young children how important it is to just be yourself. Geraldine can also be used to teach children how important it is to be kind to others. It's also a great story about making friends.
