A Boy and His Dog at the End of the World
I really enjoyed this. I don’t want to call them twists, but there are a couple of really neat turns of the plot towards the end. The framing is that the protagonist is writing down what happens after the fact. I think what I enjoyed most about this was the way in which the protagonist throws themself into the actions of the story, while at the same time pointing out every poor choice and moment of shortsightedness. Very human and very relatable.
