This!! This story of love, family and friends that kiss, is simply amazing.
Melissa and Cary’s story is far from a fairytale but it’s theirs alone and it’s full of grit.
You get the worries of a widow/single mum/ business owner who feels she has no place to ask for help or time for romance.
Then Cary the friend who has been in love with Melissa for years. He’s been patient, he’s been waiting .
When his patience starts wearing thin he starts wearing Melissa down. When he finally does you get such a dose of pure brilliance that it makes your heart sigh and wish them all the happiness they obviously give each other.

The interactions with Abby, Melissa’s daughter were brilliant. She is whip smart and crazy about goats. She really adds something extra to this already fabulous book. The rest of the great past characters show up as well as a couple of new ones. Every time Elizabeth Hunter writes I just have to read. The worlds she creates makes you want to dive in and stay and I definitely didn’t want to leave Metlin.
