bookshelves: rhyming-words, sequence, text-to-text-conn

This version of the Gingerbread Man mimics an old time feel through its illustrations. The Gingerbread Man's dialogue is full of rhyming words and word families. This is a great book for going in depth with poetry structure as well as applying rhyming words. Not to mention it's a fun read for the students to chime in on. I have read this book to help students make text to text connections by comparing it to other gingerbread books.
