This alphabet book opens with letter "Z" hopping down from his perch of the city zoo sign. As he heads home, he passes all the other letters of the alphabet in their various incantations: A is an A-shaped alien, B is a B-shaped bridge, and so on. Part of the fun is identifying each letter and, as with all good alphabet books, there are interesting vocabulary words to learn. Format and illustrations in the graphic style of Agee's "Milo's Hat" - thick pencil lines filled with watercolor.
