So glad I found the original 1924 version on! It's been awhile since I read the 1942 version we all know, so I can't say all the details that were different, aside from their name being Cordyce in the original and the fact that in the original, their father drank himself to death. It felt so much like a return to childhood. This series is such a big part of who I am. And Violet is still my favorite.

Mary That's sooo cool about the old edition. I love old books, especially old copies, and I grew up on Boxcar Children.

Morgan I know, right? I read SOOOOOO many Boxcar Children books as a kid.

Mary Me too! I must've read the first one so many times. And most of the others too.

Of course I realized later that they're all the same, and got really tired of the ghostwritten ones. But the original series is very sweet and good!
