it was amazing

The Incredible Book Eating Boy was a humorous story. It is hard covered and in portrait shape. The endpapers are bright orange which complement the cover which is composed of browns, reds, oranges, and yellows. The illustrations are full bleed and very well done. Sometimes in the story, the illustrations are double page spreads while at other times, the page is divided into sections with multiple illustrations. The background of the pages are all different forms of paper. For instance, there is lined notebook paper, newspapers, letters, dictionary pages, math pages, atlas pages, and graph paper. Although the backgrounds are very realistic, the characters in the story are not. The type face of the story looks like old fashion newspaper lettering. Also, throughout the story, characters speak and their words are handwritten in. The interplay between the text and illustrations is enhancing. This story sends a great message to children about how fun and exciting reading is and that reading makes you very smart!
