There is not much I can say about this book other than that it is a cute story. didn't blow me away but was still entertaining and engaging. I found the whole politics thing a bit difficult to grasp . I couldn't understand which groups belonged to what but to me it was not that important and I still enjoyed the book. I really liked the reflective way the story was told by and older Gabrielle. I cant pick any faults with the book to be honest. I did feel like everything was centred around Gabrielle but it is his story and any other perspective would have defeated the point of the book. Although I would have like to see Rosalia's point of view but this wasn't supposed to be a romance novel. Over all David was a quick entertaining read and has definitely encouraged me to go and see the statue myself as visiting Italy is already on my big list of things to do.
