White Witch by Trish Melburnt is a story about a witch named Jax. Jax’s left behind her coven behind to start a new life when she behind her became despondent with her coven’s ideals of revenge against the humans that burned them. Jax enters a small town, unaware that that the supernatural life she thought she left behind has caught up with her in her new town. Alongside Jax are her supporting characters, her best friend, Tina; a love interest Keller; and a fellow runaway witch, Egan.

This book wasn’t slow and grabbed me from the first page. What I liked about this book was the unexpected ending, which may lead into a second book. This book reminded me a lot of The Secret Circle but was more fast paced and edgier. Overall, a good book and I look forward to reading the possible sequel.
