really liked it

I liked this book - more uneven then Welcome To America, and similar (a sometimes silent girl, a strange, mentally ill father), but with an easier, more cinematic pace. Knausgard captures the psych ward and the course of depression with keenly observed, sad insight. The ambiguous ending feels a bit unearned, but I read eagerly, eating up every detail. A bit slower in the first half, before the ward, but with enough tension and interest to keep me going.
