I gave this an extra star as I believe this has been the best Goosebumps book I have read to date. The setup was different, the plot was different, the twist was different. I applaud R.L. Stine for this story.

The father designs theme parks. He designs one based on Shock Street horror movies his daughter (Erin) and her friend (Marty) like. The two of them are asked to preview the park before it opens. As expected, all goes wrong and they are terrified throughout.

I found the writing compelling as I could envision each scene as the children encountered the different creatures. Good stuff. I kept wondering how this was going to wrap up. It seemed like it was all leading to one kind of conclusion. Instead we got a pretty good twist for this series! :)

Good stuff!
