At first I kept questioning the authenticity. I am never sure if we have the real perspective from a kids point of view. Some thought processes seem to adult to me. And there was so much tragedy and disfunction in the one family, poetic but maybe not exactly found in real life. But, in the end I realize I didn't give it enough credit. It was a beautiful piece of literature that allowed me to reconnect with my feelings about 9/11 in a safer way. I have not been able to watch or read any non-fiction works yet on the event. Still too close to home.
