This was more of a 2.5 star read than a 2 star, but mostly I just felt kind of meh about it. For the most part, it just wasn't my cup of tea. I generally like my heroines to be a little less damsel in distress and my heroes less all knowing protector. The plot was a little too ridiculous, and not in a fun way. The descriptions (I use the term loosely) of food and clothing were unnecessasry and read more like lists. And there were so many love scenes that it took away from the rest of the book, both because of the amount of them and how poorly written they were. There were also several phrases the author used repeatedly - enough that it got irritating. Still, I didn't hate it and I finished it in only two sittings. I will most likely not be reading the rest of the series though.
