A mildly entertaining book.. The Future of Us is set in the 90's, which allowed it to be a nostalgic read for me. There were references to scrunchies and cassette tapes and all the lovely things that my childhood consisted of. The idea of the book is great too! Two friends who are just learning how to navigate the internet are suddenly given a chance to see their future Facebooks. They learn that every decision they make in the present will dramatically effect their future, which is demonstrated in Facebook status updates.

It certainly sounds like an interesting topic. Unfortunately though, it was an average at best read. It could have been such an excellent book if it wasn't so cheesy. It was all so predictable, and left too open ended. (What happens to Kellan/Lindsay??) I wish this book could have been written by a different author..
