bookshelves: biography

This biography chronicles some of the dogs that made a difference in this man's life. The first is Cookie who saved him from drowning in freexing cold water. The second is his first dog, Snowball. The next chapter is about Ike, his good canine friend. Followed by chapters about Dirk the protector, Rex the farm dog, Caesar the giant, Fred and Pig, Quincy wild dog of the north, and finally the smartest dog in the world, Josh.
The cover image is a picture of the author and what I believe to be his dog Josh. It just sets the tone of the perfect dog-human relationship that all dog owners witsh to posess with their dog. This book would be better for fouth and up because it contains many words third graders may not know or understand. It also has longer chapters but it is episodic.
