really liked it

So exciting to immerse myself again in the Remnant World! Ever since The Kiss of Deception, I’ve felt that Pearson works the dual POV like no one can. She’s so effective at using it to throw out little twists at each transition, propelling the story forward and making the read such an adventure. Kazi and Jase are finally together, eager to return to Tor’s Watch, although a bit unsure of what kind of reception they will receive. Nothing, however, prepares them for what they walk into. Kazi once again relies on her years as a street thief and her love for Jase to get her through. Jase sidelined by grievous injuries manages to get it together in time to do his part. Justice is nicely served, allowing them to recover all that has been lost. It’s not so much about the plot as the deliciousness of it all. Is anything else going to happen in the Remnant World? I want to know! Thank you to NetGalley for providing this ARC.
