really liked it

Ok, so I stayed away from these books because of the over-all premise, I couldn't get over the idea of reading a book let alone a series whose main plot line revolved arround a society who offered up children every year to fight to the death in the "Hunger Games", then a gal I worked with (thanks Pam) couldn't stop raving about these books, so I fired up my Kindle and "borrowed" the first one. Woah. I couldn't have been more wrong. I finished the whole series in 5 days. Beyond the fact that these books are a wonderful social comentary about what happens when power corrupts absolutely, they have an enticing and engrosing story line, with characters and relatoinships you love. My only beef, is that the last 50 pages resolves the series a little too quickly for me. I would definately recomend these.

Diane I on the second book and it really is riveting. I too was hesitant to read these books but it is a very good storyline. As you commented, it is a very good social commentary on what happens when power corrupts absoluetely and goverment goes wild.
