it was amazing

What an incredibly intense, gorgeous work of art this book is. I don't know what to say – a rare thing for me – because I'm still rather emotional (OK, OK, I cried). This book warrants a six-star rating. It *is* a boy-meets-girl, girl-meets-boy story – technically. But apart from the fact that the boy and the girl are both incredibly good looking nothing about this novel is predictable.

Head-hopping – presenting the same situation from various points of view, sometimes quite randomly – is utilised masterfully. We see the events unfolding sometimes despite the characters' intentions, misinterpreted (read to find out why), then heading towards an ending that had me biting off not just my fingernails, but also fingers. "Unputdownable" is a gross word, but I only put this book down when I had to go to sleep. The only problem I can think of is that the third part of the series won't be out until 2020.

A masterpiece and my book of the year so far.
