Often we get anxiety for no reason as we are almost always stronger and more capable than we believe ourselves to be.

Chasing Rainbows is about Bernadette Murphy who has lost her child, her husband, her father AND her job. Her relationship with her best friend is rocky, her dog was kicked out of obedience school, and she even manages to get herself banned, for life, from the mall.

Her whole world is falling apart, and she finds herself slipping into a depression that she is having trouble breaking free of.

Her only comfort is a book of quotes her dad has left her, but each quote is in the form of a cryptogram that she has to solve. With each solved puzzle she feels her dad speaking to her, helping her solve her.

I read the whole thing in one day, while lying sick on the sofa. It was a captivating read, I wanted to know what part of the poor womans life was going to go wrong next.
