Nancy's mysteries get better and better! Plus, I learned in this book that their family has a 'modern pink and white kitchen'. Sweet. Nancy and Helen are rescued from a storm on the lake by a young woman, Laura, who they soon befriend. Laura's parents have passed away and she is scheduled to go live with guardians that her Mother selected for her. However, things don't seem quite right with the guardians or their poor treatment of Laura. Leave it to Nancy to put herself in peril to get to the bottom of it. With poise and determination, Nancy sniffs out the criminals solving not only her own case, but her Father's case again too! I think Mr. Carson Drew better put his daughter on the Law firm payroll soon. Thumbs up, Nancy!
