bookshelves: adult-romance, adult-realistic

I was debating between 2 and 3 stars for this one. I went with 3 because even though this wasn't my favorite Sarra Manning book, I still found it hard to put down. That being said, there are some things I seriously disliked about this book. I really didn't like Hope at all. I'm used to the heroine of a chick-lit book being somewhat annoying from the start, but then I grow to like her as she changes throughout the story. But Hope's change is too little too late for me. Usually Sarra Manning makes me happy and sad, and I usually end up crying at least twice while reading her books. But this one just didn't get me. It was more frustrating than anything else.
