I love these books. I don't care if Mary Russell is a total anachronism - she is a great protagonist and the mysteries always keep me guessing.

In this book, Russell and Holmes have a visit from their friend Dorothy, an eccentric archaeologist, who gives them a box containing a papyrus scroll that may be a letter from Mary Magdalene. The next day, Dorothy is killed in a car accident under suspicious circumstances. Russell & Holmes investigate, and find at least three possible suspects.

Well done, looking forward to the next one.
