The Glorious Flight: Across the Channel with Louis Bleriot July 25, 1909

This book is about a man in France who saw a flying machine go over France one day. He decided that he wanted to build a flying machine himself. He builds his first machine and it is too small. He builds a second and then something goes wrong again so he tries again. It's a good illustration for "if at first you don't succeed, try try again." The man, Louis, is very persistent until he is eventually able to fly his machine (the 11th one) over the channel to England. It was a cute story and really shows the value of putting work into something and seeing it pay off.
