it was amazing

This is the rare book that I'm truly jealous of - the one that I would have liked to write one day. It's not a manual for makers so much as it is a guide book for reflecting on and improving your creative process in many ways. I've found inspiration in it to organize my shop better, to document my projects better, to list better (oh how I love my to-do lists now), and - perhaps most surprisingly - some real things to think about as I manage my team at work.

Adam's enthusiasm is as palpable in writing as it is onscreen and it really propels the book forward, through anecdote after anecdote illustrating his points. While the structure of the book can sometimes feel a bit scattered as a result, it all succeeds as an expression of Adam's personality.

I appreciate Every Tool's a Hammer a lot. It will not spend much time on my shelves, though, because it'll immediately go on loan to my maker friends and family.
