Two Witches and a Whiskey (The Guild Codex Spellbound, #3) by Annette Marie Well...this 3rd installment of the Guild Codex: Spellbound series isn't a disappointment. Our heroine, Tori, is still seeking to belong, desperate to fit into the magical world she's stumbled into. She's always felt like a misfit and past history has shown that everyone always leaves her behind. Except three best-friend combat mages, a magic guild, and a rogue druid/alchemist/who knows whatever other powers he possesses, keep coming back for more. She got more bravery than brains sometimes but I can forgive her for that bcause her heart is in the right place. The author writes with a light hand--the humorous parts are funny and the action is exciting. She upped the stakes in this addition to the series. Chris Dukeheart is perfect for the narrator. 4.5 stars.
