really liked it

He's being blackmailed into marriage by his overbearing grandfather, she needs money to pay for her dead brother's fiancee' stint in rehab. Hey, marriages of convenience have been built on less in Romancelandia! He's emotionally closed off, was her brother's best friend, and they're both still grieving.

What makes this book a cut above from your typical modern marriage of convenience stories is the heroine who I want to have babies with. She is so forthrightly fabulous. She sticks up for herself. She pushes back. She challenges all the men in this story at some point - the hero, his grandfather, her own father. I often say that for a romance to work for me I need to fall in love with the heroine. This heroine is solid gold.
