really liked it

This book started slowly, but because of the premise and the fact that it was my first Kindle book, I kept at it and it eventually picked up. Several families spend their summer 'vacation' at a homesteading/1890's style living farm. Supposedly there is nothing there that didn't exist in 1890. A teenage girl comes with her family really expecting to hate it, but eventually changes her mind. She does sneak her cellphone in however, and texts to her friends are published in a blog by her friend, which 'goes viral' and a morning show wants to come interview her. It almost ruins the entire experience for all the families, but fighting a fire brings everyone closer together and shows what is really important. There were some unexpected twists. Young adult fiction.
