This is my ninth Discworld book, and I have to say that while the first two have been two of my favorites so far, the mastery and humor in Pratchett's books only get funnier and more illuminating as the volumes go on! I loved this book. His writing contains this really higher-level humor and satire that few authors of the 21st century could parallel, and every page is usually infused with some sort of social commentary or brilliant revelation or turn of phrase that is able to make its reader laugh out loud. I sincerely wish that his popularity could span to this continent more - his writing style is extremely approachable, but his words and wit are so very inspiring to my own rhetoric, that I wish I was surrounded by Discworldian friends where our banter was illuminating and funny. I have very few friends like this. But when I pick up one of TP's books, probably two or three times a year, I am reminded that there are other people out there like us, and that it is good to be an outsider - or at least recognize all of the Ankh-Moporkians that surround us but don't realize it. What wonder exist here in these books. Pick them up. You'll be entertained, you'll laugh, and I may argue, you'll become a little smarter, too.
