What a sad, yet relatable tale of the effects of death -- especially the death of a pet. This story perfectly portrays and provokes the feelings of grief we try to forget. For some it might even seem slightly macabre. Nevertheless, the tale reminds us that those who pass on are always with us, whether we're talking physical remains, the afterlife, or the imprint they have left upon us. Those we have loved and who loved us will always be there to help guide and encourage us along the way.
