A neat look into Sartre's childhood. This "autobiography" chronicles his introduction to reading and writing as a child, as well as his germinal experiences with some of the existential themes that underlay his work. It's hard to imagine that a lot of these features aren't really largely fictional, even if they do in fact coincide with his memories. Some dry parts (especially in the section on writing), but a nice read.
