it was amazing
I own a copy , read count: twice

An extraorinary work by an extraordinary writer. I read this book the first time when I was just a teen and even though some of it was over my head it was still fascinating. Read it again as an adult and was just floored by it. Mailer's way of presenting the story of murderer Gary Gilmore was done in such a way that it read more like fiction than it did a biography. My emotions were pulled in so many directions, hating Gilemore but yet somehow feeling sorry for him at the same time even after reading about his horrific crimes. It was a haunting tale that stays with you long after you read the last page.
