This series is *just* this side of grating, with it's clothing and girly bs. It stays on the acceptable side, but it's one of those things I personally need a break from before I read another.

Pros: Ivy is beginning to grow on me, more history is revealed, and the heroine was actually pregnant during the book, which I can't think of another urban fantasy/sf series where that happens; it usually happens offscreen, if at all.

Cons: both Alexia and Madame Lefoux do things that make me want to shake them. Grr. (I'll read the next one, but they're on thin ice. By which I mean, they'll have to piss me off pretty badly to make me stop - how many chances did I give Mike Shepherd??)
