Enjoyed this book where members of a literary society play an elaborate hoax on an obnoxious member, leading to murder and mayhem. My favourite of Beeding books read so far. Like The Norwich Victims read earlier, this book too had photos in the beginning. An innovative touch.

First Line: Valerie Beauchamp, alias Vera Brown - but the alias was carefully concealed from her numerous public - sat back in her chair and tapped her front teeth with the end of her fountain pen.
