When I was a kid, I read This Place Has No Atmosphere about a teenage girl whose family moves to the moon, where her new school puts on a student production of the play "Our Town."

Martian Dawn, which had something to do with traveling to Mars, reminded me of that. Except more incidentally pornographic. This was good for some shared laughs.

Favorite quotes:

"Then Svetlana appeared in a silver lame jumpsuit."

"Wonderful!" Marty bellowed. "But tell me something..." he continued, his brow furrowing. "These turtles--will they blow you?"

"Two months later, Julia and her cockatoo, Spanky, moved into Angel's duplex not far from the club."

"I like character-driven movies. You like movies about flying dragons."
