This book is about a young boy who is taken away to a concentration camp and split from his parents. Before he leaves his parents, they give him a harmonica which he loves. I really liked this book because the harmonica was essentially what kept him alive. It is also what brought joy to the other people in the concentration camps. This book shows how important music is and what it can do to the soul. This is a great book to read to children to teach them about the Holocaust. The pictures are incredible and you can see the emotion in the characters' eyes.
