Kristen I adored this book, which is a collection of true stories of love as told by the people themselves. They're both heartwarming and heartbreaking. Like the man and woman who met while he was a toll bridge attendant, and he would leave a cone in front of his booth so she would know which one to go to. Or the couple who spent most of their time flying and would hide notes for each other in the Cincinnati and Atlanta airports for the other to find. Or the wife who was on the phone with her husband during his last moments in the World Trade Towers on 9/11. Especially fun are the pictures following the stories. I would build up an idea of how these people look, and they never looked like I thought they would. They're regular, normal-looking people from every walk of life; but they all share the experience of loving and being loved...and that's the magic of the book.

Emily Thanks for the review! Have you read Listening is an Act of Love? That's another Storycorps collection. I loved it. I'll have to pick up this one!

Emily Thanks for the recommendation, Kristen! I really enjoyed this one and couldn't put it down!
