I've really been on a roll with the PsyCop series. I just couldn't stop myself.

I was very glad to see the main mystery storyline of this novel develop at a much more realistic pace. To top it off, the resolution of that storyline also seemed well paced, not startlingly abrupt as has been the case in the previous installments of the series. That being said, Price is slow to bring us into the meaty action of the main storyline in Secret. There is a lot of lead up that focuses on character and relationship development, backstory reveals and more in depth exploration of series-level story arcs. When the main storyline of Secret reveals itself, though, it does not disappoint. Overall, definitely the best installment in the series thus far.

Unfortunately, there seem to be some formatting issues popping up in my edition, especially during dialogue. Most are random indentations of final lines of 3- and 4-line blocks of text. Not completely life ruining, but distracting, at least for me.

Also, can I just say that I want to move in with Vic and Jacob? Their place sounds amazing!! And I could totally put up with sounds from the bedroom...
