it was amazing

The Flower Bowl Spell by Olivia Boler is an example of indie publishing at its best. The book is well crafted and the characters are believable within the story's context. The book is set in present day California, but with a twist, because in this California faeries are real, and witches can cast powerful spells. The protagonist, Memphis Zhang, was raised a Wiccan but gave up magic when a protective spell she cast for her best friend failed to work. However, Memphis soon finds out she is not destined to lead a life without magick (she spells it with a "k"). Her skills are desperately needed. And after all, what real heroine can resist her true nature anyway? The plot is compelling and surprising. This book will keep you turning page after page.
