This book had me hooked from start to finish. It's nice knowing that it's not always a hero that saves the day. Which is what happened in Queen of Shadows. First off: Meranda started out as week as any human could be with the added bonus of having her powers like her mother before her. And from then on things take turns. Like with the meeting of Prime David Solomon. Which as it turns out helps Meranda deal with her little powers that kill a man as quickly as he could. Enemies abound in the first book of the shadow world but Merianda and Solomon muddle through to the wonders that will be faced together.
