I really enjoyed this novel. I found the characters to be realistic and likable.
I really try hard to write my review with no spoilers- but find that they are beginning to sound the same. Obviously there are certain things that make me think a book is good or not. A well written story with realistic characters, whether I personally like them or not, makes a book a good one for me. Sparks created individuals I could imagine interacting with on a daily basis. He developed a situation which while not commonplace, could actually occur. He even provided an escape for a character that while it may be hard to believe it is easy to understand the need for this particular type of escape. Katie creates her own safe haven in a way that allows her to begin a somewhat normal life -- good for her!
I will contine to look for books by Sparks.
